The
way we nourish ourselves determines our ability to shine our light in the world.
And nourishment doesn't just come in the form of food and drink and sunshine;
it's equally important to nourish your spirit.
What
made your soul feel most nourished this year?
First on my list of nourishment is my wonderful supportive husband who has kept me enthused as he encourages me to do what ever I felt like doing with my art or sewing or what ever I am 'into' at the moment. Always being there and never saying a discouraging word. He has fed my soul with encouragement.
Then comes my good friend Ellen, a fellow artist, who has introduced me to many different types of art including some wild and wonderful art projects and techniques. She encouraged me to call my yard a "garden" which transformed it from an area that had to be cared for to a space I love to embellish with art, both mine and other's and to just walk around and enjoy. She has also been my biggest supporter of getting and staying healthy. She has fed my soul with enthusiasm .
I am not a fan of Facebook but being asked to join "The Creative Practice" by Ruth has kept me on the computer way more then I would normally like to do. But through this group I have connected to many wonderful artist of all mediums and through reading their blogs, pages and comments it has opened up a whole new world for me. Up until I joined this group I thought 'ichnology' was just another funny made up word. And when ever would I have learned about Tylight if Ruth had not asked me to join. She has allowed my soul to be fed with wonder.
But I think the most important nourishment I have received this year is from myself by the determination to take my health into my own hands and confront the issues I have. Because of that I have reconciled with my health issues and made steps in the right direction. I am feeding my soul with determination today and all of my tomorrows.
There are many more ways my soul has been nourished but I will leave it at this for now.
Soul mates and kindred spirits are total nourishment for the soul. x
