SEEKING A HEALTHY BODY/LIFE

Tomorrow my spirilizer will arrive from Amazon and I am excited to try it out...

For several months I have become interested or as some might say obsessed with my health and well being and to almost the same extent with Bob's. I say almost because he has to take some responsibility for his own health and life. Between the two of us I am the seeker and he is the follower so I do all the research on what we should do to make the quality of our life better as we age and he, with a bit of pushing from me sort of follows along. Today alone I have spent several hours on the computer reading and checking and trying to figure out fact from myth on diets. What I have finally concluded is to follow a basic Paleo diet as best we can on our retired income. That means cutting out some things to allow me to purchase grass fed animals and pesticide free veggies and fruit. It won't happen over night but it will happen. 

The other part of this equation is to get moving and stay moving. We have joined the gym but in reading I have learned that doing only strength building exercises won't cut it but adding aerobic exercises in will get us healthy and keep us as healthy as we can possible expect to be.  

I am now reading up on doing exercises in short burst of speed and then slowing down causing the body to react in a positive way. I have just discovered this information so more research is required but in the meantime we will continue to the gym 3 days a week and get some walking in or perhaps biking while the weather is cool.
