TODAY WAS A GOOD DAY

Today as planned I got the buttons marked and sewn onto my jacket/top...It can be either depending on the weather...I decided in keeping with the organic look I wanted to tie them on with artificial sinew instead of sewing them on with conventional thread. I like how they look..especially since they are not matched. I have not sewn buttonholes by machine in a very long time so it took me longer to figure out how to make them then it did to actually sew them.

Then I decided to trim the loose leaf notebook for my gadget bag and get it ready for sewing items I can sort out of my drawer...lots of gadgets are double or triple in the drawer so I can add them and leave them for away sewing use...That will still leave me pockets for things I need for individual projects. I like this idea so much I may make another one for art supplies...putting extra pencils and erasers etc...even some extra colored pencils and chalks. Heaven knows I have enough for two locations.

Here it is waiting to be filled with goodies...






After that I picked out a pattern, fabric and have it ready to cut and start sewing tomorrow. I am making the whole outfit. Skirt, tunic and vest.
