C4 ward BLOGATHON March, Day 7

I finally am going to get my day 7 posted...My creative space and what inspires me in pictures.

Files filled with books on art of all sorts

As you can see I love books and use them for inspiration, instructions and killing time when I feel like it.

I love to stroll around my garden in early mornings drinking my coffee and taking photos of what is blooming at the time. Come join me this morning.

  1. Darlene, I love your winter flower garden! The only thing blooming here right now is skunk cabbage--which comes by its name by no accident. Almost makes my yearn for FL. I am most impressed with your library--and even more so with its organization (is this thanks to Bob, too?). Mine feels so improvised and my books are rarely ever on the shelves where they are supposed to be any way; mostly they cover the surfaces of every table that might possibly be in arm's reach of the various perches where I land each day. Can I repeat your painted lightbulb tree in my garden? I'll send you my 'bottle bush' idea in exchange--Carol Hays

    1. Hi Carol,

You yearn for Florida and i yearn for Washington...We kind of balance everything out that way...No...Bob has nothing to do with my organizing..He doesn't touch anything in my studios and I don't touch is stuff...his idea of organizing is putting some place...mine is putting it in it's place...you certainly can borrow my idea for the bottle tree...I am sure I borrowed it from someone else... I love the idea of re purposing..and try to do it as much ass possible...it is important we leave a smaller footprint then what we are at this time. Please do send me your idea of a bottle bush...I have hundreds of bottles to deal with now I have changed my mind on a bottle wall...and most are all cleaned...Thanks for stopping by and commenting...

  4. I wish we were neighbors and could wander in each others gardens in the morning. Wouldn't mind sharing books! Curious...what kind of coffee do you like to drink? I like very dark French roast whatevers...right now I am drinking a Guatamalan coffee.

    1. Wouldn't we have fun as neighbors...I love dark, full bodied very strong coffee that is freshly ground...after a few minutes it is no longer fresh to me...Bob makes the coffee in the morning and not as strong as I like so I drink it black in the morning but in afternoon I make my own and then enjoy it with cream...makes my mouth water just thinking about it...
