“True
wisdom lies in gathering the precious things out of each day as it goes by.”—
E.S. Bouton
There
are so many “precious things” that are presented to us each day; discoveries and
treasures found in simple moments, memories we wish to store in our hearts and
keep with us forever.
What precious things have you gathered in 2013?
What precious things have you gathered in 2013?
Which
memories from this year do you wish to keep with you always?
On my bucket list was to walk the Golden Gate Bridge.Together the three of us walked across and back again.
Here I am getting ready to take the path up to the bridge.
And here's my daughter and her son Cory, my grandson.
To wind the year down my daughter Cassie and her husband flew out from Washington state for a two week visit.
While she was here my Grand daughter Stephanie was married under the Trinity Oak in Jacksonville, FL in the beautiful dress her aunt, my daughter Deb, made for her.........
....carrying the paper rose I made for her and wearing a necklace belonging to her great grandmother Dorothy Sperber
What a memorable year it has been for me!
Darlene these are such wonderful photos of warm and beautiful times in your past year. What was it like walking across the Golden Gate Bridge? How lovely! And I like it that I shared the part about your granddaughter's wedding through your blogging.
ReplyDeleteWOW Ruth! It would seem that walking across a bridge would be just another day of walking but to cross the Golden Gate Bridge on foot, walking where millions have walked since the bridge was built was one of the most surreal feelings of all time for me...add to that the perfect weather which was unusual for that time of year and to watch the fog bank roll in from the ocean side...eventually obscuring the bridge completely...just inspiring
DeleteSuch exquisite moments! Thank you for sharing them with us. x
ReplyDeleteDarlene! That is soooo wonderful! Thank you for this description of walking across the Golden Gate! And you had such good weather!
